Fleur de Lys in Las Vegas charges $5000 for the Fleur Burger 5000 - a Kobe beef burger topped with foie gras and black truffles. It's paired with Chateau Pétrus and Italian stemware that you get to keep. Now I can't say for sure, but I'm pretty positive that The Vortex Bar and Grill in Little Five Points (Atlanta) isn't going to serve Chateau Pétrus any time soon. In fact, I think they're a bit too gritty for Italian stemware and the mention of foie gras would probably just get you kicked out.
That's not to say that the Vortex isn't a fantastic experience. It just isn't a restaurant that most people would consider to be "gourmet." So why am I writing about a habanero topped burger that's cooked in a restaurant with graffiti covered walls and paintings of unclad women hanging from the ceiling?
