Habanero Pecan Turtles

These are not your everyday pecan turtles.  There isn't anything unusual about the pecans or chocolate in these candies but the caramel packs some punch.  You might be surprised at how well the nuts and chocolate mellow the fiery caramel.  If you doubt your ability to handle the heat then just use one habanero the first time around.

Habanero Caramel Apples

Caramel apples shout "Autumn" as loudly as the change in the color of leaves, apple cider, honey and pumpkin pie.  The habaneros in this spicy recipe for caramel apples leave a distinct habanero flavor but they might make it more of a trick than a treat for someone who isn't expecting the apple to bite back.  They are delicious but they certainly pack some heat.

Habanero Cashew Brittle

Habanero Cashew Brittle!?  You would think that habaneros would infuse mind bending spiciness into this buttery brittle but it doesn't.  It's a very mild but concentrated heat you'll feel as it goes down.  It's truly sweet heat.  My only advice would be to invest in a candy thermometer and to read this entire recipe before you start making your own because you need to move quickly.

Asian Lime Wings with Habaneros

I wish I could take credit for this wing recipe because it's a hit every time I make it.  This is based on a rib recipe that I saw in Cuisine at Home but we're talking about wings right now.  Focus!  Okay, now that we're back on track...  This recipe is an amazing balance of sweet, spicy, tart and salty.  I've made this dish countless times for summer, porch sittin' guests.

Bangin' Bloody Mary

We almost never do anything the easy way but this recipe is simple and makes a really fresh, spicy Bloody Mary.  Some Dave's Hurtin' Habanero Hot Sauce and a pinch of freshly ground cayenne pepper really heats this one up and gives it a very distinctive flavor - the perfect way to get a late start on Sunday.
